The hurricane, or ‘Franken-Monster’, is having various impacts on retail sales Monday, aside from the obvious effects on supermarkets and convenience stores. Oliver Chen at Citigroup says that the hardest hit retailers might be in the malls, such as Limited Brands (NYSE:LTD), Urban Outfitters (NASDAQ:URBN) and American Eagle Outfitters (NYSE:AEO), while pizza operators Papa John’s (NASDAQ:PZZA) and Domino’s Pizza (NYSE:DPZ) should see a huge jump in their demand. Sounds as if hurricane parties might be in store for tonight.
