Honda CELEBRATING After Award and 4 Auto Stocks Making Headlines Now

Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:F):  Rumors that Ford (NYSE:F) is considering adding more aluminum parts to the F-150 are “premature.”  A spokesperson stated that they are, “constantly looking for multiple ways to improve the fuel efficiency and capabilities of their cars and trucks with innovative technologies.” Their shares traded up $0.13 (1.45%), they were recently at $9.09.

General Motors Company (NYSE:GM):  According to the Detroit News, General Motors (NYSE:GM) is ending ties with the American Legislative Exchange Council, a controversial business-funded group that drafts model legislation for states to adopt. The Council has come under criticism for operating largely in secret. Their shares traded up $0.53 (2.77%), they were recently at $19.64.

Toyota Motor Corporation (NYSE:TM):  From January through June, Toyota Motor Corporation sold 4.97 million vehicles around the globe. That put the company 300,000 units ahead of General Motors, who finished, second, after selling 4.67 vehicles. Their shares traded up $2.08 (2.81%) recently at $76.19.

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (NYSE:HMC):   Honda has reason to celebrate, after being named the most reliable used car,  for the seventh year in a row, in the annual “What Car? and Warranty Direct Reliability” survey. They have had an enviable record, in any given 12 month period, of being the least likely, to have a breakdown, leaving passengers stranded. Their shares traded up $1.31 (4.20%), they were recently at $32.47.

Tesla Motors, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA):  Though the company hasn’t delivered any cars since June, Tesla Motors, Inc., says that it will deliver 5000 Model S EVs by the end of the year. Their shares traded up $1.12 (3.98%), they were recently at $29.25.
