Best Buy’s July 4th SWEETENER For Apple Fans

Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) has already put Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) new laptops on sale, with the electronics retailer offering discounts on the upgraded MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, as well as the freshly launched MacBook Pro with Retina display.

Just three weeks after Apple announced the changes to its portable line, Best Buy is offering as much as $140 discounts for the computers on its website. The base model of the MacBook Pro with Retina display — with a 2.3GHz Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB memory — is available for $2,089, while the 11.6-inch MacBook Air with a Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB memory starts at $949.

Best Buy’s website does not mention how long the offers will last.

Shares of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) closed higher over 1%, while Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) finished lower 2% on a shortened Tuesday trading session.
