Healthcare Business Review: Team Health SELLS OFF, Sucampo LOVES The UK

Shares of the medical staffing company Team Health Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:TMH) fall, on word that a principal stockholder offers 8 million shares at $28.05, which represents a discount of 4.5 percent to Tuesday’s close. The divesting stockholder, Ensemble Health, is an affiliate of The Blackstone Group L.P. (NYSE:BX), which reduced its investment from approximately 54 percent some two months ago and now owns about a 39 percent stake in the firm.

Sucampo Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:SCMP) reports that it has won approval from the United Kingdom’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency for Amitiza, for the treatment of chronic idiopathic constipation and associated symptoms in adults when response to diet and other non-pharmacological measures are deemed inappropriate.
