Healthcare Business Rewind: Sanofi Sees Zaltrap OKAYED, Endo and Others Get Generics APPROVAL

Sanofi-aventis (NYSE:SNY) shares are higher Friday on the news that the FDA has okayed Zaltrap, a drug developed by the former and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:REGN) for the treatment of advanced colon cancer.

Endo Health Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ:ENDP), Mylan Inc. (NASDAQ:MYL) and Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries Limited (NASDAQ:TEVA) have all been given the greenlight by the FDA to proceed with their generic versions of Singulair for use in adults and children to control asthma symptoms, and to help relieve symptoms of indoor and outdoor allergies.
