Ten top pharmaceutical companies, including Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ), Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE:LLY), AstraZeneca Group plc (NYSE:AZN), GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE:GSK), and Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE), have now established a non-profit organization to be called TransCelerate BioPharma, through which to collaborate on research, with the aim of accelerating drug development. TransCelerate will kick off by making clinical trials more efficient, which will include the standardization of the method that data is recorded so as to make it easier for regulators.
