Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:F), looking to lure consumers into trying out a hybrid for the first time, boasts that its all-new 2013 C-Max Hybrid is more fuel-efficient, more powerful and less expensive than the Toyota Prius V, its closest competitor vehicle. The automaker is hoping that around 50 percent of C-Max Hybrid purchasers will be conquest sales.

This vehicle will reportedly feature Tesla batteries, motor and other components, while Tesla already supplies battery packs for the battery-powered SmartForTwo, U.S. shoppers should be able to purchase one in 2014.
