General Electric (NYSE:GE): GE’s finance franchise, GE Capital, is reported to have routed a $7.1 million credit facility through its banking affiliate arm, GE Capital Bank, to Hishmeh Enterprises, a Domino’s Pizza franchisee. The funding comprises a term loan of $5.6 million that replaces existing debts, and a line of credit of $1.5 million to be used as growth capital.

Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ): According to a report in Reuters, Johnson & Johnson has secured approval from the U.S. FTC for its acquisition of Synthes, a Swiss manufacturer of medical devices, with a rider: J&J must sell certain assets, which includes its system of the surgical treatment of wrist fractures, and related assets, to medical device manufacturer, Biomet.
