GE Secures New Customers and 2 Dow Movers Sparking Chatter

The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) announces that it will be among the partners of J.C. Penney & Co. (NYSE:JCP) that will feature the new “shop within a shop” boutiques in its stores, says Women’s Wear Daily, which added that a minimum of 520 Penney’s stores will feature Disney children’s shops by next autumn.

General Electric Company’s (NYSE:GE) Energy Storage unit said that it has seen $63 million in new Durathon battery orders since the business was begun in July. More specifically, in its first weeks of operation, the division obtained 10 new telecom customer orders in several regions, among which include Asia, Africa, India and the United States, and have powered more than 3,500 cell towers.

Home Depot, Inc. (NYSE:HD): A slow economy is prompting restaurant chains to help reshape the commercial landscape, says the Wall Street Journal. There are not as many new mall openings, so a rise in spaces which were vacated by failed retailers presents a new opportunity for restaurant chains that are still growing.
