Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) might well be small in Russia thus far, but the world’s biggest social network is trying to recruit the local geeks to build applications designed especially for their home market. MetroPCS Communications (NYSE:PCS) might well receive a bid from Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE:S) if the latter’s board members okayed such a move in their special phone meeting at noon Friday, according to inside sources to The Wall Street Journal.
