Alcatel Lucent SA (NYSE:ALU) provides network equipment to allow the expansion of Telkom South Africa’s delivery of exceptionally fast broadband services countrywide. Telkom SA is one of the largest integrated communications companies located in Africa, and it plans to dramatically increase the superfast broadband services’ availability throughout South Africa. The network equipment will be supplied by Alcatel-Lucent in order to enable the network transformation.
Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) announced in a regulatory filing that revenue and profit will see an increase during the quarter as a result of strong business travel and more flights to New York. The company also expects the recording of fuel hedging losses resulting from decreasing oil prices as well as staff cut charges.
Supernus Pharmaceuticals(SUPN) shares more than doubled its price Tuesday following the drugmaker’s comment that regulators are closer to granting final approval on its possible treatment for epilepsy, Trokendi XR. The company states that the Food and Drug Administration gave tentative approval for the daily treatment and told the company that it will require no more clinical trials.
