Ford Names New Purchasing Head and 2 Other Stocks to Watch

Ford named Hau Thai-Tang as its new global purchasing chief effective August 1, replacing the retiring Tony Brown. Thai-Tang currently serves as vice president of engineering and was the chief engineer for the 2005 Mustang, the first new version of the sports car in 25 years. In his new position, Thai-Tang will oversee $90 billion in purchasing of parts and services yearly and will be the automaker’s point man when dealing with suppliers.
