Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) Chief Executive Alan Mulally has told a Berlin conference that his company intends to conduct additional restructuring in Europe should the market there worsen, commenting that, “We are determined to adapt to the actual demand.” In October, Ford announced that it will close plants in Belgium and in the United Kingdom.

The remaining number of retailers who report monthly sales figures has lot another top company as Macy’s (NYSE:M) will now discontinue the practice. The idea is that quarterly results transform monthly numbers into a three-month average, which smooths sales numbers out and creates an increased long-term focus for investors. Other retailers making this transformation include Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT), Saks Incorporated (NYSE:SKS), and J.C. Penney & Co. (NYSE:JCP).
