Bank of America Corp (NYSE:BAC): According to Reuters, global investment banks’ fee income dropped to $14B during Q2, a 25% decrease, with year-to-date fees totaling $32B, 25% off from 2011. Along with trading revenues, the numbers could be off by 40%, which indicates earnings for Q2 may be low, but this is no “new” news.
Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) was removed from Ford’s Top Picks Live list and dropped its price target from $15 to $14 per share due to worsening European conditions following the company’s successful decrease of Q2 earnings expectations, because of reasons outside of North America. The firm keeps a Buy rating on Ford citing its intact long-term thesis.
Alcatel Lucent SA (NYSE:ALU) optical transport equipment will be used by Submarine capacity supplier GlobeNet, an Oi subsidiary, in a newly announced project intended to connect Columbia with its existing undersea fiber optical network. This equipment allows GlobeNet to support 100-Gbps wavelengths over the new 1000-km route, which will create broadband services between Colombia, the United States, and other Latin American countries.
