Facebook Tests Photo Archiving and 3 Social Media Stocks Seeing Action

Facebook, Inc. (NASDAQ:FB):  Current price $27.17

There are a lot of photos on Facebook that just sit around taking up precious data storage space. The social network can’t exactly delete these photos just because no one’s looking, but they can store them in a more cost-effective and energy-efficient way. According to the Oregonian’s Mike Rogoway, Facebook is testing moving the photos into cold storage in the social network’s data center located in Prineville, Oregon.
