Facebook Introduces NEW Messages and 4 Tech Titans on the Move

Facebook, Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) is taking yet another step toward transforming Messages into a full e-mail client with a new two-panel layout comparable to Apple’s touch-friendly design for Mail for the iPad. The revamped Facebook Messages is to also include easier ways to attach files and photos, a collection of emoticons, and keyboard shortcuts for more efficient navigation on the new Messages product. The new version of Messages will be offered to all users. The shares traded up $0.09 (0.47%) recently at $19.53.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL): Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM) has confirmed to engadget that the company’s quad-core Snapdragon S4 chips are to be used in an upcoming smartphone from LG which will compete with Samsung (SSNLF) and Apple devices at the high end of the market, the blog said. The shares traded down $4.50 (0.67%) recently at $664.37.

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG): Less than two weeks following its agreement to pay a $22.5 million fine for the violation of the privacy of the users of Apple’s Safari web browser, Google has begun to strengthen its privacy team to ensure that past mistakes will not be repeated. The search giant has recently posted a job notice to its website requesting a data privacy engineer for its privacy “red team.” The shares traded down $0.98 (0.14%) recently at $676.20.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT): Holiday shopping is arriving quickly, meaning that Microsoft has begun to slash the price of its hot-selling Xbox Kinect hands-free motion controller. The shares traded down $0.64 (2.49%) recently at $25.09.
