Facebook, Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) tons of Facebook pages are losing fans, but they actually aren’t. Facebook has started deleting fake accounts and “Likes” as it attemps to improve the site. This has resulted in reduced numbers of likes on fan pages, but no followers have actually been lost.
LinkedIn Corporation (NYSE:LNKD) claims that a ‘nine to five’ office job will be a thing of the past for the majority of people by 2017, according to a survey. Standard working hours, desktop computers, fax machines, tape recorders, and formal attire will be forgotten. The company’s survey was named “Office Endangered Species” and said that the top three office tools that will cease being used by 2017, among professionals in India were the tape recorder, standard working hours, and desktop computers, and other items predicted to cease being used are fax machines, Rolodexes, USB drives, cubicles, and landline phones.

Groupon, Inc. (NASDAQ:GRPN): As share prices fall for Facebook (NASDAQ:FB), Zynga (NASDAQ:ZNGA), and Groupon, some investors have begun to pull back from Web start-ups. Now, venture capitalists have begun to ask more difficult questions regarding their revenue and profits. Because of this, some entrepreneurs are seeing that it’s taking longer to generate cash; some have begun to change their expectations regarding valuations, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Pandora Media, Inc. (NYSE:P): Kang Tae-jin, SVP of Samsung’s (SSNLF) Media Solution Center, claims that the company intends to buy mobile content providers in an attempt to compete with Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), and Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) in the digital music market, according to Reuters. According to some, Pandora (NYSE:P) or privately-held Spotify will possibly be takeover targets for the firm.
Zynga, Inc. (NASDAQ:ZNGA): Last year, Actor Alec Baldwin was the subject of various negative headlines when his addiction to “Words With Friends” was the reason why he was kicked off of an American Airlines flight. Social game maker Zynga now hopes to gain more positive news via a star-studded celebrity tournament that will include Edward Norton, Kristen Bell, Sophia Bush, Jonah Hill, and Eva Longoria, musicians Snoop Lion and John Legend, and Boston Celtics forward Paul Pierce.
