Last night, Rambus announced a business alliance with the Elite Group, which is a top designer and distributor of home goods, lighting, along with other consumable products. The Elite Group is to promote and sell the Rambus LED bulb portfolio to retail and professional markets in North America, which includes the various major retail customers that are already working with Elite. The first Rambus LED bulbs are to be available at major retailers and professional channels as early as Q2 of 2013, and an extended portfolio of A19 and PAR bulbs with a roadmap of technology enhancements allowing increased functionality is under way.
