EchoStar Q3 Revenue Falls Short and 4 Hot Stocks Making Waves

Oaktree Capital Group (NYSE:OAK) reports third quarter EPS of $0.88 which beats estimates by $0.14. Revenue, up 151.3% year-on-year, is $304.6 million which beats by $33 million. The firm’s Economic Net Income, a metric commonly used for asset management firms,  was $368 million compared to a $443 million loss in the year ago period. Assets under management were up 11% year-on-year to $81 billion.

Broadridge Financial Solutions (NYSE:BR) reports first quarter EPS of $0.18 and revenue of $496 million, which beat by $0.02 and $9 million respectively.

Third quarter EPS of $0.26 at EchoStar (NASDAQ:SATS) is ahead of estimates by $0.13, whereas revenue of $764.7 million falls short by $50 million.

Emerson Electric (NYSE:EMR) reports third quarter EPS of $1.11 which beats expectations by $0.06, and revenue of $6.7 billion which is up 1% year-on-year.

Strength in the yen, weak European demand and Chinese sales disruptions lead Nissan Nissan (NSANY.OB), the second largest Japanese carmaker, to slash its net profit outlook for the full year from ¥400 billion to ¥320 billion.
