DuPont Reports Photovoltaic Decline, Solar Stocks Show Mixed Response: Energy Biz Wrap

E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company’s (NYSE:DD) electronics and communications segment reported a third quarter decrease in photovoltaic materials, that caused a drop by 28 percent in revenues during that quarter. The reaction in solar stocks was bifurcated into ups and downs Tuesday, with shares of Suntech Power Holdings (NYSE:STP) Trina Solar Limited (NYSE:TSL) rising, and those of First Solar (NASDAQ:FSLR) and SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ:SPWR) falling. All the shares had moved up on Monday.
