Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ): AT&T and Verizon Wireless (NASDAQ:VOD) introduced coupons and daily deals that will be delivered through text messages, says GIGAom on Thursday, which added that both parties are employing location data they already own to enhance their offerings, but Verizon is also using demographic data and web browsing habits.
The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) and its current labor negotiations with the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace, or SEEPA, has prompted the following statement from Director George H. Cohen of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service: “At the request of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, negotiations between The Boeing Company and the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace, IFPTE Local 2001 are being suspended until after the first of the year. Both sides agreed to this mediator request. In the interim, the FMCS will be in discussion with the parties to schedule resumption of negotiations.”
Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX), which is experiencing its longest slide in energy production in four years, could use its record cash to restart growth by purchasing Cobalt International Energy (NYSE:CIE) or Kosmos Energy (NYSE:KOS), according to Bloomberg.
Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ) has chosen QLogic (NASDAQ:QLGC) as a supplier of 16Gb fiber channel connectivity for HP ProLiant Gen8 servers and HP ProLiant G7 servers, along with adapter solutions for HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage which is part of the HP Converged Storage portfolio.

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) has established a distribution channel in Myanmar and is the most recent in a series of major American companies to enter the country as it allows in foreign investment and new products. The firm’s agreement with the American marketing group Ingram Micro (NYSE:IM) and its Myanmar agent KMD will enable it to support brands that use its tech there, such as PC makers, according the Wall Street Journal.
