TransCanada Corp. (NYSE:TRP) announced that the Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of 44c per common share for the quarter ending March 31 on the Company’s outstanding common shares, a 5% increase over the 42c per share paid in each of the previous four quarters. The common share dividend is payable on April 30 to shareholders of record at the close of business on March 30.

Textainer Group Holdings Limited (NYSE:TGH) board has approved and declared a quarterly cash dividend of 37c per share on Textainer’s issued and outstanding common shares, payable on March 6 to shareholders of record as of February 24. This dividend is an increase of 2c per share from the prior quarter, Textainer’s eighth consecutive quarterly increase, and will continue the company’s history of paying constant or higher dividends every quarter since its October 2007 initial public offering. Combined, these dividends have averaged 43% of adjusted net income during this period. The current dividend represents 35% of adjusted net income.

Cooper Industries plc (NYSE:CBE) announced that its Board of Directors increased the annual dividend from $1.16 to $1.24 per share at its regularly scheduled board meeting on February 14. The first quarterly dividend of 31c per share will be paid on April 2 to shareholders of record as of February 29.

j2 Global Communications’s (NASDAQ:JCOM) board increased the dividend to 21c per share from 20.5c per share. The dividend will be paid on March 12 to all shareholders of record as of February 27.
