Dividend Changes to Know Now: SeaDrill Limited, BMO, The Bank Of Nova Scotia, Alliance Financial Corporation, Brown-Forman Corporation

SeaDrill Limited (NYSE:SDRL): Seadrill raises dividend to 84c. In reflection of its strong operational performance, record high orderbacklog and the strong market outlook, Seadrill raised its quarterly cash dividend to 84c.

Bank of Montreal (NYSE:BMO): Bank of Montreal increases quarterly dividend by 2c to 72c. Bank of Montreal announced that the Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of 72c per share on paid-up common shares of Bank of Montreal for Q4 of FY12, an increase of 2c from the previous quarter.

The Bank Of Nova Scotia (NYSE:BNS): Bank of Nova Scotia raises dividend to C$0.57. A dividend of 57c Canadian per common share was announced, an increase of 2c Canadian per share.

Alliance Financial Corporation (NASDAQ:ALNC): Alliance Financial increases quarterly dividend by 1c to 32c. Alliance Financial, the holding company for Alliance Bank, N.A., announced that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly dividend of 32c per common share. The dividend is payable on Oct. 2 to shareholders of record on Sept. 18. This declaration represents an increase of 1c per share or 3.2% from the dividend paid in the previous quarter.

Brown-Forman Corporation (NYSE:BFA): Brown-Forman says it will look at how it can increase their dividend y/y.
