Realty Income Corp. (NYSE:O): Realty Income increases monthly dividend. Realty Income Corporation announced that its board has declared an increase in the company’s common stock monthly cash dividend to 15.175c per share from 15.14375c per share. The dividend is payable on January 15, 2013 to shareholders of record as of January 1, 2013. The new monthly dividend amount represents an annualized dividend amount of $1.821 per share as compared to the previous annualized dividend amount of $1.81725 per share. The company continues its long-term policy of declaring and paying dividends on a monthly, rather than on a quarterly, basis.

The Andersons, Inc. (NASDAQ:ANDE): Andersons raises dividend to 16c from 15c. The Andersons announced a first quarter 2013 cash dividend of 16c per share payable January 23, 2013, to shareholders of record on January 2, 2013.

EQT Corporation (NYSE:EQT): EQT Corporation to cut annual dividend to 12c following gas utility sale. Concurrent with EQT’s announcement that it has agreed to transfer its natural gas distribution business, Equitable Gas Company, to Peoples Natural Gas, EQT will also reduce its annual dividend, effective January 2013. The new dividend rate of 12c per share reflects the blend of EQT’s two remaining core businesses a dividend-supporting midstream business, and a capital-intensive, rapidly growing production business.

Discover Financial Services (NYSE:DFS): Discover increases dividend by 40% to 14c from 10c. The company’s board declared a cash dividend of 14c per share of common stock, payable on Jan. 17, 2013, to stockholders of record at the close of business on Jan. 3, 2013.

Edison International (NYSE:EIX): Edison International raises dividend. Edison International declared a quarterly common stock dividend of 33.75c per share, payable January 31, 2013, to shareholders of record on December 31. This action increases the annual dividend from $1.30 per share to $1.35 per share.
