Cogent Communications Group Inc. (NASDAQ:CCOI): Cogent Communications raises quarterly dividend to 11c per share from 10c. Cogent’s board approved a payment of a dividend of 11c per common share payable on December 12 to shareholders of record on November 21.

Barrett Business Services Inc. (NASDAQ:BBSI): Barrett Business Services increases quarterly cash dividend to 13c from 11c. Barrett Business Services, or BBSI, announced that its board of directors approved an 18% increase in the Company’s regular quarterly cash dividend, raising it from 11c to 13c per share. The cash dividend for the current quarter will be paid on Dec. 14 to all stockholders of record as of Nov. 30. “The increase in our dividend reflects the strength of our earnings and cash flow generation, as well as our prospects for future growth,” said Michael Elich, President and CEO.

Textainer Group Holdings Limited (NYSE:TGH): Textainer declares increased dividend of 44c per share in Q4. Textainer paid a 42c per share dividend in the third quarter and declared a 44c per share dividend in the fourth quarter of 2012, an increase of 5% from the second quarter and an increase of 19% compared to the dividend paid in the fourth quarter of 2011, as well as the Company’s eleventh consecutive quarterly increase.

Perrigo Co. (NASDAQ:PRGO): Perrigo raises quarterly dividend to 9c from 8c. Perrigo announced that its board declared a quarterly dividend of 9c per share, payable on December 17, to shareholders of record on November 29. Perrigo’s last quarterly dividend, paid on September 18, was for of 8c per share.

Universal Corp. (NYSE:UVV): Universal Corporation raises quarterly dividend to 50c from 49c per share. The dividend is payable February 11, 2013, to common shareholders of record at the close of business on January 14, 2013. This increase indicates an annualized rate of $2.00 per share and a yield of approximately 4.1% based on the $49.32 closing price on November 5.
