Disney Sails to Florida and 4 Media Titans Making Waves

AOL, Inc. (NYSE:AOL) is buying Buysight Inc., a maker of online behavioral advertising software. Terms were not released. Buysight will become part of AOL’s Advertising.com group.

Coinstar, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSTR) has announced that their Chief Financial Officer, J. Scott Di Valerio, plans to make a presentation at Wedbush Securities 13th Annual California Dreamin’ Consumer Conference in New York on Wednesday, December 12, at 12:05 p.m. EST.

Time Warner Cable Inc. (NYSE:TWC) is collaborating with startup WeFi to expand its Wi-Fi hotspot network in the United States. Instead of putting in their own hotspots, the company can leverage WeFi’s technology to create a virtual network for their customers by giving them access to open Wi-Fi hotspots installed by governments and businesses for public use.

Walt Disney Co. (NYSE:DIS) will operate all of their ships out of Florida during the early half of 2014. The Disney Magic will return to Port Canaveral, joining Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy in sailing off the central Florida coast. Disney Wonder will continue to homeport in Miami. (In 2013, Magic is scheduled to sail out of Galveston, Texas, Barcelona and Miami.). Disney will also have a port in Jamaica.

SIRIUS XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI): Liberty Media Corporation, the beneficial owner of approximately 49.8% of the company’s stock, has indicated that they will participate in the company’s share repurchases on pro rata basis so that their relative ownership interest will not be affected by the program. The company will fund the repurchases through on-hand cash and future cash flow from operations and borrowings under its revolving credit facility.
