Discovery Communications Sells CSS Studios and 3 Stocks that Have Hit 52-Week Highs

Comcast Corp. (NASDAQ:CMCSA): Arris (NASDAQ:ARRS) retreats following Jefferies analyst James Kisner’s statement in a note to investors that his sources suggested that Comcast’s most recent Xfinity Wireless Gateway product was made by Technicolor. Previously, the analyst’s sources suggested that Arris had provided all of Comcast’s Wi-Fi terminal adaptors. Kisner believes that Arris will eventually lose some of Comcast’s business, and the design win by Technicolor happened much more quickly than previously expected. Kisner continues to see significant earnings upside potential for Arris in 2013, and the firm has decided to reiterate a Buy rating on the stock. In mid-morning trading, Arris saw a drop of 44c, or 3.14 percent, to $13.58. The shares closed at $35.38, up $0.53 or 1.52% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $19.72 to $35.45.

Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) is to be one of J.C. Penney’s (NYSE:JCP) partners featuring “shop within a shop” boutiques in the retailer, reports Women’s Wear Daily. A minimum of 520 JCP stores are to open Disney children’s shops by next fall, according to the report. The shares closed at $52.70, up $0.8 or 1.54% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $28.19 to $52.75.

Discovery Communicat’s (NASDAQ:DISCA) CSS Studios has been acquired by Empire Investment Holdings. The shares closed at $59.44, up $0.93 or 1.59% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $35.65 to $59.00.

Amdocs Limited (NYSE:DOX) announced that Rostelecom, which is Russia’s national telecommunications operator, chose the company to both modernize and consolidate its legacy customer management systems in order to get a full view of all customer-related activities. The shares closed at $33.55, up $0.14 or 0.42% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $25.67 to $33.50.
