Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS): Unnamed sources connected with the matter say that regulators are steaming ahead on the final version of the Volcker Rule, causing observers to believe that it might be completed by the summer, according to a New York Times report. On Wednesday the CEOs of six major banks discussed their misgivings with such new regulations with a Federal Reserve governor.

Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:F) and Automotive Components have reached definitive agreements in which Faurecia will buy the latter’s automotive interior trim components unit, which is its only operation at its facility in Saline. The deal is expected to close on June 1st, and almost all of the present employees have been offered continued employment. The agreement includes the formation of a new joint venture, Detroit Manufacturing Systems, between Faurecia and Rush Group, which is part of the Rush Group of companies that includes one of Ford’s largest minority- and woman-owned vendors.

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) latest Ivy Bridge processors have been launched, but some retailers are starting to be more wary concerning the second quarter performance, and some fear that consumer demand might lag until after the third quarter because of the scheduled intro of Windows 8 (NASDAQ:MSFT), says a report by Digitimes.

MGM Resorts International (NYSE:MGM) says that its first quarter revenue per available room at its Las Vegas Strip resorts up is up by 4 percent.

Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF) announces that on Wednesday a deal with Merrill Lynch International was struck, in which the forer will repurchase $427.9 million of the latter’s holdings of HLF common shares, completing the current $1 billion repurchase authorization. The shares will be paid for on Friday by Herbalife’s cash on hand, and from debt under its senior secured revolving credit facility. The company will receive a portion of the shares on a pre-determined date and the remainder upon completion of the program, which is expected to be no later than July of the current year.
