(NYSE:LVS), MGM Resorts International (NYSE:MGM), Wynn Resorts, Limited (NASDAQ:WYNN), and Melco Crown Entertainment Limited (NASDAQ:MPEL) being on watch. Further, the idea that casino operators should think about breaking off shopping malls and hotel properties so as to unlock value, is getting traction, as investors are keen on seeing solid real investment trusts emerge.

The import into Russia and sales of Monsanto Company’s (NYSE:MON) genetically modified NK603 corn in that country have been suspended pending further information regarding the safety of the products. A French study prompted questions on the long-term effects of NK 603 corn on rats and now scientists at Russia’s Institute of Nutrition are being asked to review it.
