The Richard Schulze versus Best Buy Co. (NYSE:BBY) saga enters a new phase as the company founder has hired the proxy advisory firm D.F. King, which move enables him to be closer to hostile maneuvers without the bother of buying the firm outright. Schulze has a position close to 20 percent of outstanding shares, and might attempt to remove some of the firm’s directors, say sources.
The most recent collection of Consumer Reports ratings gives Chrysler (FIATY.PK) a win over rivals Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) and General Motors (NYSE:GM) for its 300 sedan within its category. Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne had a particular focus on the model, and its sales have jumped by more than 50 percent so far in 2012.
