An eye-popping makeover is in the future for some of Best Buy’s (NYSE:BBY) hangar-sized stores, as they will be turned into sleek, Apple-type retail outlets in hopes of increasing sales. However, critics opine that shoppers might have fun browsing in the trendy new shops, and then return home to actually buy the products from less expensive e-tailers.
General Motors (NYSE:GM) is recalling 2,000 Chevrolet Captiva Sport crossovers because of a problem with the brakes. The recall is effective for vehicles that were built between April 26 and May 17 of 2012.

Whirlpool (NYSE:WHR), Frigidaire, and Electrolux appliances will soon be available at Home Depot (NYSE:HD) and via its website. HD is expanding its new service that enables customers to purchase products online and then pick them up in stores, which competes more assertively with Amazon.
