A Conrail freight train derailed in southern New Jersey and spilt hazardous chemicals on the accident site, the derailment apparently caused by a collapsed rail bridge over a creek. Conrail is owned by railroad operators CSX Corp (NYSE:CSX) and Norfolk Southern (NYSE:NSC).

Hostess Brands Inc was cleared by bankruptcy court to wind down its business and about 110 potential bidders have lined up to buy its brands that include Cupcakes, Ding Dongs and Ho Hos and which are being made available without the burden of any debt or labor contracts. Some of the names being mentioned are Grupo Bimbo, Flowers Foods (NYSE:FLO), Dollar General (NYSE:DG) and Family Dollar (NYSE:FDO).
