Comcast Connections Top 294K and 3 Stocks Riding 52-Week Highs

Comcast Corp. (NASDAQ:CMCSK) combined Video, High-Speed Internet, and voice customers were increased by 294,000 during Q3 of 2012, which is a 28.1 percent rise versus the previous year’s Q3 net additions. As of September 30, 2012, the amount of Video, High-Speed Internet and Voice customers reached 50.8 million, which is a net increase of 1.5 million or 3.0 percent over the previous year’s Q3. The shares closed at $36.51, up $1 or 2.82% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $20.69 to $36.62.

Cymer (NASDAQ:CYMI) has reported a Q3 EPS of 31c, consensus 7c. The shares closed at $78.96, down $0.21 or 0.27% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $39.24 to $79.62.

First Business Finan (NASDAQ:FBIZ): On a sequential quarter basis, provision for loan and lease losses saw a $1.2 million drop, mainly as a result of the charge-off of a particular commercial loan during the previous quarter. The shares closed at $24.40, up $0.34 or 1.41% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $14.81 to $24.74.

Gsi Technology (NASDAQ:GSIT): Cypress Semiconductor (NASDAQ:CY) intends to seek a review by the full International Trade Commission, or ITC, of the Initial Determination, or ID, that was issued by Administrative Law Judge Charles E. Bullock. The ID decides there is no violation of Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 by GSI Technology, Inc. with respect to the four patents asserted by Cypress. The details of the ID have not been made available. Additionally, press has filed suit against GSI in the federal district court of Minnesota; it will be Case No. 11-cv-00789. That case is now pending the ITC’s final ruling, which will likely occur during February of 2013. CEO T.J. Rodgers stated, “A finding of no violation in this case is inconceivable. We intend to pursue a review with the full Commission. We will also continue to pursue our suit in federal district court. We will use all of our resources to protect our intellectual property.” The shares closed at $5.46, down $0.27 or 4.71% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $4.04 to $5.78.
