Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO) today announced plans to revamp the organization of its executive leadership. The changes are designed to enhance corporate agility and prime the company for future growth.
Gary B. Moore, former chief operating officer, will now have the title President and COO, and former worldwide sales chief Rob Lloyd will be named President of Development and Sales, with Chuck Robbins assuming his old position.

Cisco hopes the moves will help the company more quickly adapt to market changes and further improve its customer-centric operational model.
The reshuffling might also have something to do with Chairman and Chief Executive John Chambers’s recent hinting at plans to retire within the next two to four years. In his comments, Chambers mentioned Moore, Lloyd and Robbins as potential successors.
