Cisco Eyes BroadHop and 2 Dow Stocks to Watch

Cisco Systems (NASDAQ:CSCO) is looking to purchase BroadHop, a supplier of next-generation policy control and service management tech for carrier networks globally. Cisco’s acquisition of BroadHop is “an evolutionary step in supporting Cisco’s Open Network Environment for extensible network programmability,” according to a post to its corporate blog.

General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) Chief Executive Jeff Immelt said that economic uncertainty in the fourth quarter has caused an investment pause that has trimmed the company’s sales, although he expressed optimism overall and predicted  industrial revenue growth next year, according to the Wall Street Journal.
