The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) and Aviation Industry Corp., or AVIC, will collaborate in the expansion of the latter’s capabilities to provide interior commodities like galleys, passenger seats, lavatories, and in-flight entertainment systems for commercial airplanes. Executive Vice President Geng Ruguang of AVIC and Vice President and General Manager Stan Deal of Boeing Commercial Airplanes Supply Chain Management and Operations completed a memorandum of understanding for this interior payload project at the 2012 Zhuhai Airshow. Currently, worldwide demand for Boeing airplanes stands at an all-time high point with an excess of 4,200 airplanes in its backlog. The endeavor with AVIC will support China’s expanding aerospace manufacturing industry and also broaden opportunities for airlines globally to continue to customize airplane interiors so as to attain market differentiation.

Cisco Systems (NASDAQ:CSCO) is expected to post modest gains in sales and earnings when its first fiscal quarter results are released on Tuesday afternoon, even though a negative mood has been increasing around the firm during the past few weeks. Around the end of last month, a number of peer high-tech firms reported downbeat forecasts for the year-end period, blaming a stalling economy which might erode demand from consumers and corporate customers alike. Moreover, shares have fallen by approximately 11 percent since early in October, but closed fractionally up to $16.86 Monday, which represents a point a bit below the level since Cisco’s last report on August 15th, an event that ignited trading which pushed the shares up by more than 10 percent in the next week.
