Walt Disney Co. (NYSE:DIS) receives a ton of new visitors to the new Cars Land inside the Disney California Adventure theme park. News Corp. (NASDAQ:NWSA): 20th Century Fox will finally bring Bert and Ernie to theaters since it has gained the rights to the long-running PBS show and has begun a script. Industry talk places high expectations for the film, especially since it is estimated that more than one billion people have watched the show at some point, making the show “iconic.”
SIRIUS XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI): Because the company claims it has been paying a good bit more than the nation’s commercial radio station, Sirius XM hopes to renegotiate its licensing agreement with Canadian regulators in hopes to decrease its mandatory contributions to artistic development funds by nearly 90%. A licensing hearing is set for tomorrow.
