Cadence Design Syste (NASDAQ:CDNS) and ARM (NASDAQ:ARMH) announced the availability of the first in a series of combined solutions which allow designers to improve performance, power, and time-to-market for ARM Cortex-A series processor-based system-on-chips, or SoCs. The initial solution optimizes ARM POP intellectual property, or IP, technology, via the Cadence Encounter digital platform, for the Cortex-A9 processor on the TSMC 40LP process, which includes ultra low threshold voltage, or uLVT. The solution is available for license from ARM to quicken the implementation of ARM processors.The shares closed at $12.58, up $0.14 or 1.13% on the day.
