The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) received an order from Grupo Aeromexico, Mexico’s leading airline operator, for six 787-9 Boeing Dreamliners last week. This is part of an order valued at roughly $11 billion that was announced in July, with the first delivery expected in the summer. Aeromexico said that the purchase of four additional Dreamliners is yet to be confirmed.
Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ) executives, along with those from Intel, are reacted to Apple’s tripling its social responsibility staff by saying that the shifts on the latter’s part have convinced many electronics firms that they too must remake how they interact with overseas facilities and workers. Analysts say that such changes are usually at a cost to their bottom lines, and probably not so much as to impact consumer prices. For its part, Apple has re-evaluated how it cooperates with manufacturers, has requested that rivals help curb excessive overtime in China, and has reached out to advocacy groups it once rebuffed.

International Business Machines Corporation (NYSE:IBM) and Kraft Foods (NASDAQ:KRFT), which is now part of the Mondelez International (NASDAQ:MDLZ) group of companies, extended their engagement until September 2015 to continue assisting Kraft in its strategy of implementing three SAP instances worldwide in three years. This will include the roll-out of a corporate template through which to harmonize business processes across their developing markets in CEE and MEA.
Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) is expected to introduce, at the Mobile World Congress event at Barcelona in February, a new smartphone platform with new Atom processors based on 22nm and 14nm processes that feature lower power consumption, according to Digitimes. Additionally, the report says that handset component makers have advised them that these launches will be crucial to the company in its rivalry with ARM in the world smartphone market.
