Boeing 787 Dreamliner Catches Fire at London Heathrow and 2 Other Dow Movers to Watch

The Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA): Current price $101.93

On Friday, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner operated by Ethiopian Airlines caught fire at London Heathrow, mandating the closure of its runways. Meanwhile, in early afternoon trading in New York, Boeing shares are down by more that 7 percent. Television footage showed the Dreamliner surrounded by foam from fire services who were attending to the incident. However, no passengers were aboard the aircraft. The lightweight new plane experienced a number of battery fires earlier in 2013, causing it to be grounded until Boeing came up with a repair.


Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ): Current price $89.73

Johnson & Johnson is now the number 13 broker pick of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, said a study of analyst recommendations at the largest brokerages, according to ETF Channel. The company also ranks above the median of analyst picks among the broader S&P 500 index components, taking the 178th spot out of 500. In calculating this rank, analyst opinions from the major brokerage houses were gathered and averaged, and then the underlying components were ranked according to those averages.


Cisco Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO): Current price $25.81

The networking equipment manufacturer has been chosen by the privately-owned web hosting provider,, to supply its Aggregation Services Router 9000 Series for the expansion of its Internet Protocol network in cloud-based services. Cisco’s router will give highly resilient Internet protocol connectivity, which will have the capacity to support OVH’s entire network. Beyond that, OVH will be able to provide speeds of as much as 2 Tbps in Europe and 8 Tbps in the United States. This would mean Cisco’s ASR may be able to support various types of traffic without any delays and hindrances, which is key in transferring video and audio files.
