BlackBerry (NASDAQ:BBRY): Closing price $14.90
It has been almost two months since its formal debut in New York, and now customers in the United States will be able to buy a BlackBerry Z10 of their own in March. The expectatation of the new model helped drive a 12-percent advance in the firm’s shares to $14.62, marking its biggest gain in five weeks. On Monday morning AT&T (NYSE:T) said that it will start selling the new touchscreen smartphone beginning March 22. AT&T is expected to sell the handset for $199.99, along with a two-year service commitment; the carrier will start accepting pre-orders for the Z10 beginning March 12th.
