Best Buy Competes With Apple and 1 Morning Hot Stock to Notice

According to Dutch chip equipment maker ASML’s (NASDAQ:ASML) chief financial officer, the company would issue slightly more than 9% of its present capital as new shares to raise funds for its acquisition of Cymer, a supplier of lithography light sources. ASML announced today that it would be acquiring Cymer in a deal worth $2.5 billion to accelerate the development of next-generation chip manufacturing technology. ASML already boasts of investments in its capital by Intel (NASDAQ:INTC), Samsung (SSNLF.PK) and TSMC.

According to a report on Reuters, Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) is planning the launch of its own Android-based tablet dubbed the Insignia Flex. Featuring a dual core 1 GHz processor, a 9.7 inch screen and 10 hour battery life, the Insignia Flex will be priced in the range $239-$259. The tablet will be available only in Best Buy stores from November 11, and at that price point it compares rather well with Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) $499 iPad and Microsoft’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) all-new surface tablet.
