Barnes & Noble (NYSE:BKS) has announced that it will release new high definition versions of the Nook tablet targeted at holiday shoppers this season. The company is offering a 7 inch HD tablet at $ 199 and a 9 inch HD tablet for $ 269. Consumers could also access a digital video store to rent or buy movies for the devices.
