Avatar Director ANNOUNCES 3 Sequels with Fox and 2 Media Titans Making Waves

Netflix, Inc.‘s (NASDAQ:NFLX) request to dismiss a lawsuit brought by the National Association for the Deaf that claims discrimination due to closed captioning being unavailable on some of the company’s streaming library has been denied, according to the Los Angeles Times. Shares of Netflix traded up $0.09 (0.13%) recently at $67.12.

Walt Disney Co. (NYSE:DIS): Doug Creutz of Cowen is attacking Disney’s new movie with Pixar, Brave, on ground that despite positive opening weekend numbers, this movie is the second Pixar feature in a row to get unsteady critical reviews. Creutz opines that with Disney liable for $7.4B to purchase Pixar, products from the partnership have to be routinely high quality to guarantee a long-term return on the large investment. Disney shares traded up $0.71 (1.52%) recently at $47.41.

News Corp. (NASDAQ:NWSA): James Cameron reports he will direct three Avatar sequels at one time, starting this fall, giving Fox (NASDAQ:NWS) more value for their dollar. The first Avatar movie produced an all-time worldwide box office record of $2.782B.
