AutoNation’s Import Sales, Martha Stewart Shrinks Business: Consumer Business Recap

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (NASDAQ:GMCR) has made an arrangement with Costco Systems (NASDAQ:CSCO) through which the retailer will sell single-serve coffee pods for Green Mountain’s Keurig brewing system. Sales of the products should commence in December.

AutoNation (NYSE:AN) has posted that retail new vehicle sales rose by 13 percent year-over-year to 20,958. The firm experienced double-digit growth in all segments, pushed by a 15 percent jump in Imports to 9,980 units sold.

Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (NYSE:MSO) intends to shrink its publishing business in order to concentrate upon digital and video initiatives. As part of the strategy, the firm will seek a buyer for Whole Living magazine and also convert Everyday Food to an online publication. Elimination of positions could also be announced soon.

Coach (NYSE:COH) was awarded a $257 million default judgement against an entity that was accused of conducting a counterfeiting operation of Coach merchandise. Through the terms of the legal victory, the firm was granted ownership of 573 Internet domain names used by the knock-off operation.
