Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL): The new so-called conflict minerals rule is to be adopted by the SEC next month, and now companies are made to disclose whether or not they purchase metals from central African warlords, reports Bloomberg citing sources. Shares of Apple Inc. are trading 4.56% lower today.
Facebook, Inc. (NASDAQ:FB): Knight Capital Group (NYSE:KCG) comes closer to accepting Nasdaq OMX Group’s (NASDAQ:NDAQ) repayment plan concerning firms which lost money regarding Facebook’s IPO issues, but concerns remain, reports Reuters citing sources. Friday, Nasdaq’s payback fund was increased to $62 million in cash. Shares of Facebook, Inc. are trading 0.6% lower today.
AT&T, Inc. (NYSE:T) announces that Peter Thompson has been appointed as General Manager for New Zealand. Also, Peter has been appointed Sales Manager for Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia making him responsible to further push sales opportunities across these regions. Shares of AT&T, Inc. are trading 1.52% higher today.
Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK): Interest regarding building applications for the current generation of Windows phones from Nokia has seen a sharp drop among developers. Only a quarter of developers are interested in developing apps for Windows Phone 7 devices in comparison to the 37 percent who were interested during Q2 of the year, according to the newest Mobile Developer Report from IDC and Appcelerator. The drop is mostly blamed on “somewhat disappointing” Windows Phone 7 handset sales and Nokia’s ”widely reported competitive challenges”. Shares of Nokia Corporation are trading 3.13% higher today.
