General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) on Monday commemorated its 20,000th wind turbine installation, along with its 10-year anniversary in the wind industry. Overall, GE’s 20,000-turbine fleet could power the cities of Hong Kong and London for an entire year. Vice President for Renewable Energy Vic Abate commented that, ”We couldn’t have achieved this milestone without our development partners. Together, we have advanced wind to its current status as a relevant, reliable, competitive source of energy.”

Arena Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ARNA) shares climbed 4.5 percent on Monday with nothing happening of note at Arena but moving on overall market sentiment.

Brocade Communications Systems (NASDAQ:BRCD) and Hyve Solutions, which is a division of SYNNEX Corp., have reached a definitive agreement through which to construct a line of integrated, pre-tested Big Data offerings. According to Hyve,  it is building them based on its server platform and Brocade’s VCS Fabric tech, plus offerings from an ecosystem of mutual partners.
