Are These Zynga Rumors Enough to Please These Top Institutional Shareholders?

Zynga (NASDAQ:ZNGA) may have surged as a result of Yahoo (NASDAQ:YHOO) buyout rumors, but The Wall Street Journal reports that the speculation could continue to be just that. Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer will probably shy away from a possible deal when considering some of her previous comments, claimed the report. The company does not necessarily fit Mayer’s definitions of “daily habits.” Furthermore, Yahoo’s mobile games presence is relatively non-existent, the Journal added. Yahoo has presence in games, and it even has a whole section of the site devoted to it. However, there are indications that as users continue to shift to mobile, a web gaming presence is no longer worth what it previously was.

These institutional firms indicated owning shares of Zynga in Q4 2012. They reported owning a total of 260.437 million shares on 12/31/2012. The shares closed at $2.36 on 12/31/2012.
