Archer Daniels Midland Looks to GrainCorp Purchase, GeoEye Combines with DigitalGlobal: Merger and Acquisition Wrap

Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE:ADM) wants to buy GrainCorp Limited (GRCLF.PK) at $12.20 per share in cash, with shareholders keeping the dividend of $0.35 which was announced on November 15th. The proposal was reported in a Monday press release and it is now up to the board of directors of GrainCorp to decide whether to recommend the offer to shareholders.

GeoEye (NASDAQ:GEOY) reported in a release on Monday that the proposal to combine GeoEye with DigitalGlobe (NYSE:DGI) has been okayed by its shareholders with 98.3 percent of the shares voting in favor. GeoEye is a leading source of geospatial information and insight.
