Apple’s iPhone RUMORS, Facebook Friendlier for Advertisers and 2 Tech Stocks in Focus

There is an increasing level of mockups and hoaxes, in advance of the September 12th Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) event for the redesigned iPhone. Along with legitimate data leaking out during the past months, fake information, mockups and hoaxes regarding the device have been around, and over the past few days, the growing anticipation and speculation for the new iPhone have only fueled both real and false stories.

Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) is readying to allow advertisers to obtain leads on prospective buyers based on such personal information user IDs, email addresses, and phone numbers. InsideFacebook initially announced the new option following some users temporarily seeing it go live. This new feature basically allows marketers to target ads to their existing customers on Facebook, and the company confirmed that it has been testing it with a select group of advertisers and will be launching it starting this week.

A new service arrangement on behalf of Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) permits the firm to share a user’s data with all of its cloud-based services. This modification, which was issued to users in an email on Friday, essentially ends Microsoft’s previous policy of allowing users to choose how their data is used for each service. Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) is already doing a similar thing with its Google+ initiative, which handles all Google services as if they were one.

A Cross-Origin Resource Sharing capability is being joined by Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) to its S3 Simple Storage Service, which will facilitate developers in building web applications that access information stored in the company’s cloud. Amazon says that with this new modification, developers are now able to implement HTML5-based drag and drop uploads to Amazon S3, show upload progress, or update content.
